His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al-Muazzam – may God rest his soul in peace – paid great attention to the teaching of Sharia sciences, as religion and high morals were two main pillars in building the modern civilization of Oman, and His Majesty emphasized this in his lofty speech when he said: “We build, construct, and raise the edifice The construction is lofty and the anthem of Oman is a modern civilization that is well-established on a solid foundation of religion, morals and useful knowledge.” Accordingly, His Majesty – may God preserve him – issued Royal Decree No. 24/86 to establish the Institute for Sharia Judiciary, Preaching and Guidance, and it is affiliated with the Ministry of Justice, Endowments and Islamic Affairs at the time.
