Specon is a leading mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) specialist construction company in the MENA region, with extensive experience in turn-key MEP projects. With more than four decades of experience in the regional MEP sector, Specon has delivered landmark projects including airports, hotels, hospitals, commercial and residential towers, universities, military developments, HV/MV substations and overhead transmission lines. Specon’s experience spans all sectors of the construction industry and includes proven capability across the full spectrum of engineering services for buildings and infrastructure.

Specon holds in-house capability in high & medium voltage (HV/MV) and extra-low voltage technologies (ELV), as well as in the fields of rail & metro, energy & power, including renewable energy power generation (solar), other green and sustainable solutions, and oil & gas.

Specon employs more than 5,000 people across the region and has the capability to deliver complex projects using the industry’s best practices through the application of modern construction and project planning techniques. Philotimo (also spelled filotimo; Greek: φιλότιμο) is a Greek noun translating to ‘love of honour’. Specon has an experienced in-house design team in addition to an associated design company, and has proven design and build capabilities on projects such as Paris Sorbonne University, Zayed University and the Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone.

Employees are adequately accredited and licensed to carry out specialist works to the exact standards required by clients. Many Specon employees have more than 20 years of experience.

Specon has the ability to draw on the expertise of its international partnerships and local experience to design, procure, install, erect, commission and deliver MEP works to a world-class standard.

Specon has received the Grade 1 License for Electrical Contracting Works (the highest grade) in accordance with the latest Regulatory Supervisory Bureau (RSB) regulations from Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), which authorises Specon to design, construct and commission works above 1500 KVA in addition to certifying and endorsing all relevant documentation.

Onshore & Offshore Oil & Gas Fields and Facilities Services have been added to our Abu Dhabi Trade License.

Specon is also an approved contractor for Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA) / Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC) and Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA).
