A business management graduate from Brunel University London, Mohsin Hani Al Bahrani is the CEO’s of Automotive, Tyres and Batteries and Engineering Products and Commercial Vehicles. Mohsin is the leader of one of the major automotive conglomerates in the region. He is the eldest grandson of the late Mohsin Haider Darwish. Mohsin has completed his Masters of Arts in ‘Middle Eastern Studies’, achieving a distinction, at Kings College London.
Since his arrival, he has overseen a steep rise in Sales for example, in terms of turnover MG Cars has seen an incredible rise by 520% from 2019 to date. His innovation has helped in changing the perception of Chinese products in Oman, thereby gaining the trust of the consumers by using key strategies to highlight the product and its qualities. Mohsin’s main goal is to help the Omani population to reduce their expenses by buying a cost-effective car with lower fuel emission and increased mileage per liter. Mohsin was instrumental in regaining the Market Leadership for Commercial Vehicles with Ashok Leyland in Oman. He was actively involved in bringing McLaren Automotive the group’s portfolio. Mohsin recently launched E-Commerce platforms for the automotive division, which has helped in connecting buyers and sellers within Oman and also enabling customers to have easy access to the products and services offered.
He is also envisaging on setting up the Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles Division, which is the first of its kind in Oman as he believed this sector has a market gap and is the future of the automotive industry. He initiated the sale of Solar panels within this division, which also makes MHD the first company in Oman to sell it.
Mohsin expanded the sales and aftersales network for MHD, setting up more than 4 new sales facilities for the business across Oman and for After Sales it has expanded from just 3 facilities in 2019 to more than 10 after sales facilities in 2020 which created lots of job for the local population, leading by example and setting new standards among the business organizations in Oman and inspiring the younger population in Oman.
